Since we are Boston area magicians, our base market area is New England. Primarily Southern NH, Central and North and South shore MA, Boston, and Northern Rhode Island. We have outstanding performers in all of New England. Travel/mileage fees may apply in certain areas. 4. What if you're booked up? What do I do then? There are many birthday party performers. Some are very good and others just don't have what it takes in working with kids. Bonaparte, our featured magician is one of the busiest birthday party entertainment performers around, it's very possible that he could already be booked and not available for the date and time that you need. However... our job is to make sure you have the very best possible entertainment for your child's party. Even if Bonaparte is booked up, we have a list of excellent alternate birthday party magicians that we would recommend and do an fantastic job at your party. 5. How much space to you need? This is another of our most popular birthday magic show questions. I've done over 3000 kid's magic shows, so early on I learned to be flexible and adapt my show to most any environment. Most parents have us perform in the living room or family room. Approximately 6' by 9' is ideal; however I've performed in much smaller areas. We able to do this because our kids magic show is self contained. Personally, I come in with my table on wheels and my bunny, (secretly hidden) J and I'm all set to go. In fact it only takes me 10 minutes to set up. (Some of our other birthday party entertainment magicians have a longer set-up time.) 6. Some of the invited kid's parents might show up for the show. Are they going to be bored? Absolutely not! We have performed many times for family audiences as well as kid's parties. As long as we know ahead of time, We can adapt our show to INCLUDE the adults as well. Everyone will have great time. Of course when we know the party is going to be for a certain age group, we adapt the program accordingly. What makes a four year laugh like crazy, an ten year old will think is lame. 7. What do you wear? Great question! I vary my outfit depending on the age group and the time of the year. 
Generally I'll wear a festive black/red Hawaiian top with casual black pants and cool sneakers that matches my color scheme. Occasionally I'll wear an outfit that kids expect from a magician, i.e. tux pants, tux shirt and colorful vest. I use all sorts of crazy, zany magic wands in the magic show. No magic hat though. It's an outdated stereotype. Very few magicians these days wear one. When your kids see me, they'll know it's going to be a fun birthday magic show. You don't need someone showing up in an unprofessional outfit or even dressed like a clown. Nothing against clowns, but many young children are afraid of them. Maybe it's the makeup. I don't know. 8. My child's birthday is in the winter. What happens if it snows and I have to cancel the party? Living in New England, this is definitely a concern! If due to inclement weather, you have to cancel the party, you will be allowed to reschedule the magic show without any fees or penalties. 9. If the weather is nice, can you do the magic show outside? This is another of the most common birthday magic show questions. Yes we can do outdoor shows, but our preference is always inside. We want to do the very best possible show for you and your child. Indoor shows eliminate windy weather, insects, etc., which can really effect a show. Also having the show inside creates a more structured 'theater' environment. An outdoor will be very good. An indoor show will be AWESOME! 10. You mention how the birthday child becomes the 'star of the show'. This is great, however my child is very shy. How do you handle shy kids? I totally understand what goes through the mind of a shy child because I was painfully shy growing up. I never force a child to be a helper in the magic show. What usually happens with shy kids is once they see and experience how much fun the show is and how everyone is having a great time, many times they do want to help out. I have had shy kids come out of their shell during my birthday magic show, which is awesome! On occasion I've had a few experiences where a shy birthday child decided not to be involved... they still had an amazing time. 11. I've heard horror stories of other parents who hired entertainment that was late or even didn't show up. What assurances do I have that this won't happen to me? I understand how you feel. I mentioned that our goal is not only to do a great show, but to also make this the easiest and most stress free birthday party that you'll ever do. You don't need to stress over whether the magician is going to be there and on time. We are very professional in my business. Here is a summary of what happens when you hire us for your party: • After we talk to each other on the phone or by email, and we decide that our birthday party entertainment would help make your kids party absolutely fun and amazing, We would then send out a letter of agreement to you by email. WE accept payment on the day of the party in the form of check or cash. We even have an on-line credit card option if you prefer. • The agreement contains all the important info about your child's birthday party. Date, time, location, type of party package, age group, etc. There is even a section on the agreement about rescheduling if you need to cancel the party. (Within certain time constraints.) This rarely happens, but if it does it’s usually because the birthday child is sick and the party needs to be rescheduled. • About a week before your party, You receive a confirmation email so if there are any last minute changes we can make them.
